American Blackout and Video the Vote
Hey all! I hope you're all ready for an awesome Nov 4th!
This past Friday at CYP was excellent. We watched the dynamic film called American Blackout. It's a film produced by the Guerrilla Network and Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. The film is about the disenfranchisement and suppression of the Black vote. It explores how RACE impacts our voting policies and practices in our nation. It's a very powerful and convicting movie for sure.
The only problem we had Friday was with out computer systems not allowing some of our CYP members to post their blogs. I think it has something to do with the type of browser we have been using so I'm gonna install a FireFox browser on each computer and see how that works. In the meantime we're going to have to do everything in a word document and I'll post the blogs later when I get home.
Oh, and this coming Tuesday we are going to Video the Vote. Hopefully things will go well. Speaking of which I better start arranging car pools. :) Peace!
